there be不是就近原则吗？

Use there is for one item.(singular nouns) Use there is for non-count items.(non-count nouns) Use there are for many items.(plural nouns)
对单数名词用there is,不可数名词用there is,复数名词用there are
不过上述是集合名词~
我查了一下 is/are 都有出现过
there were my father and I,we were climbing the hill
不过更倾向于there be 用就近原则
保险的话还是用is吧
