神宗朝弃官入秦翻译

这是『二十四孝』上的《弃官寻母》的故事。
【原文】［宋］朱寿昌年七岁，生母刘氏为嫡母所妒，出嫁。母子不相见者五十年。神宗朝弃官入秦，与家人诀誓： 不见母，不复还！ 行次于同州，得之。时母七十余。
【白话】宋朝朱寿昌七岁的时候，生母刘氏被嫡母（他父亲的原配）妒害，被逼着改嫁了。 此后母子五十多年没有见面。宋神宗年间，已经作了官的朱寿昌辞了官，到陕西去寻找自己的亲生母亲。临行前，和家人话别，“找不到母亲，我就不回来了。”，找到同州（陕西省大荔县）时，终于找到了生母。 他母亲那时已七十多岁了。

【英文】When he was seven years old, Zhu Shouchang's biological mother, ill-treated by his legal mother, was force to remarry and went far from home. Since then, he hadn't got chance to meet his own mother for more than fifty years. During the reign of Emperor Shenzong of Song, Zhu Shouchang was already an empirical official, but he resigned and went into Qin(now Shaanxi province) to seek his biological mother. Before leaving for the journey, he swore right in front of his family, "I should never be back if I could not find my mother." When arriving at Tongzhou (Dali county of Shaanxi province), he finally found out his mother who was already over seventy years old by then.
