Firstly,you can lend_in them with some interesting points or stories ,since we known ,students will read english text when they feel the text is very fun!
Next ,students will read text while they think the text is very easy ,that means you can solve some difficulties in the very text before they reading.
The last but not the least is,after reading ,you should encourage themor praise them ,in that way,they will feel better and can reading again.
