that depends on your tax code, let's say you are not a student (no student loan to pay), not getting any benifit from the gonvernment.
tax here in nz is called p.a.y.e (pay as your earn), and it's based on your annual income.
from $1-$ 14,000 10.5%
from $14,001-48,000 17.5%
from 48,001-70,000 30%
from 70,001 and over 33%
so basically, it's broken into tax brackets, say 8500/month =102,000 (that's alot!! what job is that??)
the calculations as follows:
102000-70001=31999x0.33=10559.67 (tax you need to pay for that tax bracket)
70000-48001=22000x0.3=6600
48000-14001=33999x17.5=5949
14000x10.5=1470
so the total you will get per year after tax is: 102000-10559-6600-5949-1470=77422/year=6541/ month
this is how to work it out manually. but you can use this tool on the new zealand inland revenue website: https://e-services2.ird.govt.nz/interact/services/e-services/frc/annualtaxcalc
just choose yourself as "individual", and use the tax rate " 1st april 2011-31st march 2012". then you can find out exactly how much you get taxed for each of the different incomes.
for 7500/month, tax is 20620 per year, so you get 5781/month after tax
4500/month, tax is 9200 per year, so you get 3733/month.
note: this doesn't include any tax deductions that you maybe eligible for.
good luck!!!
ps: didn't know you want it to explain in chinese, but i think you should be able to understand the calculations. i can explain it in chinese later if you are keen.
