《说苑》—“齐桓公问管仲曰”译文和管仲把百姓看做天的原因

译文：

齐桓公问管仲道：“当君王的人，应尊重什么？”（管仲回答）说：“应尊重天。”（于是）桓公仰而望天。管仲说：“我所说的‘天’，不是苍苍莽莽的天，当君王的人，要把百姓当作天。（对于一个国家来说），百姓亲附，就可安宁；百姓辅助，就能强盛；百姓反对，就很危险；百姓背弃，就要灭亡。做君主的如果不善良，百姓怨恨他们的君主。’ 因为百姓埋怨他们的君主,而最后不灭亡的政权,是从来就没有过的。”

原因：

后半天其实就是把百姓看做天的原因

Qi asked Guan"what does a King respect most ?",Guan answered "it's the sky". So Qi looked up on the sky.Then Guan said "What i mean is not the real blue sky up there,but the people. As a king,he should respect people most.With people's trust,the kingdom will be peaceful; with people's support ,the kingdom will get strong; lose their trust, he will be in trouble, while when they go against he,he will lose everything. Just as a poem says"people always give their querimony to the local governments".So when the people hate the king, there's no exception that he can still rule the country."
