my hometown and country

In the past, my hometown and country were very small. People there lived a poor life. They lived in old houses. Rubbish was seen here and there. Few visitors came here.

Now great changes have taken place in my hometowna nd country. The living conditions have been greatly improved. Their houses are big and bright. Many people have their own cars. The mountains are green, the rivers are clean, and the sky is blue. Thousands of visitors come here from all over the world.
I hope my hometown and country will be more beautiful in the future.

hi everyone. i’d like to tell you about my hometown. it’s called orsk. as you know, russia is the biggest country in the world. and for our country my town isn’t very big. it has only 275 thousands population. it’s 30 times smaller than moscow, our capital city. orsk was founded in 1735 like a small stronghold on the border of europe and asia. if you come to my town you will be able to stand one leg in europe and other one in asia. near orsk located one of the oldest mountains. it’s called ural. orsk located in the center of steppe. you can drive a lot of miles and don’t meet any people, just clear steppe. kazakhstan border is in few miles on the south my town is a big industrial center. there are a lot of different factories. orsk produces iron, cast-iron, different sorts of patrol and oil, fridges, a lot of machines for different factories. on the one hand, it’s very good. every person can find job for himself. on the other hand, a lot of factories produce a lot of pollution. it’s not very good for our environment. sometimes you can’t see a depth of blue sky because of smog. it makes me upset. and our government does absolutely nothing to improve situation. but enough about sad. if i’ve got free time i can visit museum, cinema or theatre. i suppose, the most interesting building in orsk, it’s an old church. it was destroyed after the october revolution and was restored in 1990’s. when weather is good i go for a walk in some park. if weather isn’t good i prefer to go out with friend in some restaurant. orsk hasn’t got enough sport buildings, just some swimming pool and a skating-rink. it’s a pity. that’s all what i can talk about my hometown. i’ll be glad to answer your questions. p.s. i’ll be glad to se your corrections and commentaries.
