It was a very,very bad day for Fred.He came home in very low spirits.He drove away Buddy,his dog.He had no desire to play.He felt bad.Mother heard him coming home from the kitchen and asked whether it was a nice day for him at school.He didn't answer and went straight up to his room.

He threw himself onto the bed and then stared at the ceiling for a long time.He needed to think.Why had everything seemed to turn against him today?He had to think.

On Monday he slept over because of a late night movie on Sunday.He was late for class again two days later because of a computer game.He played till very late at night.He was 25 minutes late this time.How could he explain this?He used his "borken bike" as an excuse for the second time in the week.He couldn't blame anybody for not believing him.

Today,he really did have trouble with the bike.he had a flat tyre.However,It was very hard for people to believe that his 2-month-old bike could have borken down so many times!
