1) 用作介词后的复合宾语

I never dreamed of there being a picture on the wall. 我从未想到墙壁上有幅画。

2) 作状语用的独立结构

There being nothing to do, we went home. 因为没有什么事要办，我们就回家了。

定语从句 where there be  可以改写为 there being，如：

being done, 正在被做， don是已经被做， 或者已经做了． sth to do一般住要指的是没有做， 要去做的动作． 很多时候， sth和to do 是动宾关系． 也就是do 实际上的宾语是sth, 尽管在句子的语法关系是定语． i have something to tell you. to tell you 做sth的定语， ”要告诉你的事情”
