关于manners

manners到底是一个什么词？manner和manners又没有关系？manners是不是就视为不可数名词？请高手解答,thanksIt is bad manners to speak loudly in public.
为什么后面是manners，前面却不是are

it 做主语是 单数所以谓语用单数，
这跟后面接 什么 没关系的 。
manner做行为是可数名词
而做礼貌的意思时 是不可数。
