Megaman's CFL GX53 Range gets a New Finish
Megaman's CFL GX53 range of surface-mounted palm-sized lamps has been enhanced with the introduction of models with a silver finish, providing more choice for designers to match the lamp to the surrounding décor.
Designed for discrete mounting on or in furniture and fitted kitchens, CFL GX53 lamps provide a low profile, energy efficient, long life (15,000 hours) alternative to surface mounted halogen lamps. As well as using less energy and lasting around 15 times as long as halogen lamps, CFL GX53 lamps have very low heat output, so they avoid the problems of hot surfaces often associated with halogen lamps.
An additional safety feature is the use of silicone diffuser encasing the lamp, so that if the lamp is damaged any broken glass is contained within the fitting.
CFL GX53 lamps have a diameter of 75mm and are just 24.3mm high. Now available in improved 9W (280 lm) version, using a U-shaped T2 fluorescent tube to minimise 'dark' areas and provide uniform light output. The 15,000 hour high frequency electronic ballast is located securely behind the lamp.
