no more than 有两种意思：1）仅仅（表数、量、程度之少）。如：She ate no more than a slice of toast for breakfast.她早晨仅吃了一片吐司。

2）只不过。如：The theater was no more than a painted barn.那戏院只不过是个漆了油漆的库房。

not more than不超过，顶多的意思。如：There were not more than seven women in the store then.当时店里头顶多只有7个女人。

no less than1)与...相同的，...之多（相当于as many/much as)(表数量多）如：walk no less than 3 miles之少走了3英里远。

2）不但是，简直。如：It is no less than robbery to ask for so much.要求那么多，简直跟抢劫没两样。
