On July 20, we flew to Australia as we had planned. When we arrived in Sydney the following morning, we received a warm welcome and then we were arranged to stay with some local families. During the next 11 days, we took interesting English classes, which were given by Australian teachers in English. In our spare time, we visited many places of interest and we saw some rare animals, such as kangaroos and koalas. On the 14th day, we finished the unforgettable trip and flew back to China.

Two reading methods are commonly used among students. Some students use the “slow and sure” method which means reading slowly and carefully to understand every word, while some others use the “review” method to read quickly.

Both the two methods have their advantages and disadvantages. The “slow and sure” method can help us understand the text better, but it takes too much time. While the “review” method saves time but it’s not good for us to learn details.

Actually, I use both the two methods due to different reading tasks. Firstly, I will read the article fast to get the main idea. Then I will read it slower again to get some details or learn some new words. However, some of my classmates read fast and can remember everything. So, in my opinion, while reading an article, we should choose a proper method based on different reading tasks and our ability.
