联合国的英文叫什么

联合国（The United Nations；United Nations，英文缩写为UN）是一个由主权国家组成的国际组织。世界上绝大多数国家都是联合国的成员国。1945年6月26日，51个创始会员国中的50个，在美国加州旧金山签定《联合国宪章》。宪章于1945年10月24日生效，自此联合国正式成立，但是第一次会员国大会直到1946年1月10日才举行，当时有51个国家出席。在第二次世界大战前，存在着一个类似于联合国的组织国际联盟，通常可以认为是联合国的前身。联合国对所有接受《联合国宪章》的义务以及履行这些义务的“热爱和平的国家”开放。到2008年为止，联合国共有192个成员国。
