I can’t help recalling one of my experiences. In Senior 1, I was so weak in English that I had to turn to my deskmate for help quite frequently. But one day, after reading a book he lent to me, I asked him a question in English, which made him puzzled. Then I told him the detailed position of the question on his book.

What delighted me was that I thanked my deskmate by helping him. Of course, there are varieties of way to thank others like getting greater achievements, helping the helpers, saying “thank you” on the spot, in a letter, on the phone and so on. Although tired and upset, the helper may receive recognition and encouragement.
