Once my best friend asked me, “What is happiness?” I turned to be silent, “Happiness, what’s it?” I remembered I sent the short message later, “Maybe happiness is living in a warm family with the beloved one who also loves me deeply. Besides, it will be better if I can have a successful career.” I received the reply, “Happiness is what you are pursuing.”
What’s happiness on earth? Honestly, I’m not sure. No one can give a definite answer, for it varies from person to person. In my opinion, happiness lies in some details of our daily life and a positive attitude towards life.
Basically, happiness is realization and cherishment. Some sources of happiness are just lying around us —— our dear parents, close friends and loyal lover ( if there is ). Have you realized it? Never take it for granted and neglect the purest and greatest emotions of human beings. Kinship, friendship and love all take a significant and irreplaceable role in our life. We should learn to appreciate and treasure what we have owned.
Besides, happiness is hope and belief. Locate ourselves well and dream a proper dream. Don’t hold a totally unpractical ambition, otherwise we will be disappointed terribly. After all, not every one can be Liu Xiang or Yao Ming. And we should also keep it in mind that there always exists a gap between dream and reality. Inevitably, we’ll confront numerous frustrations and obstacles on the way to happiness. Please be patient and confident to overcome all these, which is a test for growth. Please learn to burden and bear some negative emotions, such as anxiety, doubt and fear by ourselves. Please believe firmly in the hurried and indifferent crowd, the very happiness belonging to you solely is waiting for you all the time.
Furthermore, happiness is self-promotion and pursuit. It’s only we ourselves that can help fulfill our dreams and seek happiness. Don’t expect too much from others. Therefore, we should promote ourselves constantly to qualify us to possess happiness and never stop the steps of pursuit.
In fact, happiness is really simple. Enjoy tiny happiness in our daily life, leave ourselves a dream and then strive for it. That’s all! Every tranquil night, when we lie in the bed, we can look at the ceiling, and ask ourselves, “Are you happy today?” If we’d like, everyone can be the one saying “Yes”!
