英国皇室更像是一个象征性质的东西,理论上讲是全体英国人的精神支柱,但是对于现在的很多英国人尤其是很多年轻人也都觉得无所谓。
漫画,电影什么的拿王室开涮的太多太多了,就是为了一个搞笑。所以说,王室在英国的形象神圣不可侵犯我真是不赞同,这可能也反映了西方文化吧,他们有时总是喜欢拿头头脑脑的人物当作开涮的对象。但是开涮搞笑都也是有限度的,对于西方人来说就是符合在自己意识形态里的,大方向是对的,想怎么折腾就怎么折腾,就像美国电影里的那样,白宫,国会被拍的炸得稀烂没关系,只要美国是正义一方就OK。所以英国人拿王室搞笑也是要在这个符合意识形态的圈圈里的。只要出了圈,别管是什么你看有人管你不?可不像国内那些“精英”吹嘘的西方民主无边无界了。
还有皇室的经费就是由纳税人提供的,所以王室里出了譬如像经济类的丑闻的话,那在民众心理就会一落千丈的。毕竟英国王室虽说是王室,但是和封建时代的皇帝之间的有着本质的区别。说的通俗点就是,英国人民养着你作为国家的象征,你要是做的不好,人民就能把你“饿死”。所以,王室成员的生活就像很多公众人物那样会被舆论和社会压力有所制约的,而且王室的威信在当今英国更是经不起什么大风大浪。
所以王室成员会经常参与一些慈善活动或者是社会公益活动,一来是给公众转递王室不是那么高高在上的,王室是很体贴人民的信息,二来也是和普通的老百姓蹭进感情。
英国王室在全世界的地位....只能说在英联邦国家有地位,英国女王是所有英联邦国家的女王和国家元首,当然这只是象征意义上的。王室对英国都没有执政的权利,就不要说对那些英联邦的国家了。总的来说王室完全就是个华丽而漂亮的摆设,面子是王室存在的真正意义......
另外在英国还保留着贵族,包括王室,他们都有自己祖传的宝贝,或者是私有的城堡,庄园。有些城堡,庄园都被当作博物馆供人参观,以便拥有者能够赚取点资金来支持平时维护这些建筑的昂贵的开支。
很多这样的城堡,庄园还有里面的奇珍异宝都代表英国文化,但是归属权不是国家而是个人的。
