Three months ago,I visited two vacation flats to see if they might be of use to the college for students in the next academic year.the first property was at 5 Camden terrace and the second at 22 Norton Street The Camdan Terrace flat was on the second floor of a three story house and had tow bedroom,kitchen,small living room and bathroom.The Norton Street property is a very large four-storeyed-house which has been converted into six separate apartments.The one I inspected was at the top of the house,and had one room fewer than the Camden Terrace flat.It was newly decorated and looked very nice,much better in fact than the bigger flat which I would only call fair.
Both have gas central heating which is not included in the rent.The second floor flat at 250 yuan per month was 50 yuan cheaper than the one on the top floor,but as Ihave said,it was not in such good condition.However,it is available for a full calendar year where as the Norton Street flat only has a six month let.
Irecommend both properties as being satisfactory for our accommodation register.

三个月前我去看了两间空置的公寓，想知道是否可以在下个学年把它们提供给在校的学生。这两间公寓一个位于5 Camden terrace另一个则位于22 Norton Street 。位于Camden terrace的公寓在一幢3层楼房的2楼，一共有2间卧室，一间厨房，一间很小的起居室和浴室。而在Norton Street 街上的是一幢四层楼的住宅，现在已经被改造成6间独立的公寓。我去调查的这间公寓在最顶层，它比Camden terrace的公寓少一个房间。这间公寓刚装修过，看上去很不错，比那些房间大但是装修平平的要好很多。

两间公寓都有中央供热系统但是气费却不包括在租金内。2楼的这间公寓租金是250元一个月，比顶楼的那间每月便宜50元，但是就如我刚才提到的一样，它的居住条件并不是太理想。2楼的这间可以满足租期一学年的要求，而位于Norton Street 的这间却只能租半年。

两间公寓都很令人满意，因此我将它们同时推荐给住宿登记处。
