The Lunar New Year was a great occasion to the Chinese people.It last about the first four days of the year,during which people did not work except for the workers on duty.Students did not go to school,and shops are closed.
Several days before the new year,people begun to prepare.Farmers killed pigs,sheep,cocks and hens.City dwellers bought meat fish and vegetables.Houses were cleaned； coupletsare posted on the doors.Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.
On the eve of the new year,each family had its members gatherd together and ate a family reunion dinner.After the meal they watched TV until the clock strickes twelve.Then every family set off long strings of small firecrackers and other fired works to welcome the new year.On the first day of the new year,almost everyone was dressed in his or her best.When people met on the way,they said to each other "Happy New Year".Friends and relatives pay new year callsd and gave presents to each other.Children indulged themselves in games.

last sunday,jack and i went to the zoo。8:00, we came to the supermarket to buy bread, ham, beverages and other things that we like to eat. out of the supermarket, we intend to take a bus.a lot of people go to the zoo because the weather was good, we decided to walk to the zoo. along the way, we tell each other interesting stories, unknowin gly went to the zoo. in the zoo, we saw an elephant show, watch kind of animals。we spent a happy and meaningful day.
