这个其实很简单，如果你的外国亲戚比较西式化的话那这样说比较接近外国人用的口语：

Hi,this is (你的名字）----我是。。。。。。

How are you doing lately?-----最近好吗？

We want to know when you will come back.---我们想知道你什么时候回国

And say hi for the whole family.---我代家人问候你

If you get this message,please call me back.---如果你收到，请回电话

如果外国人留言一般都会这样的，既简单，又明了。

Hi this is XXXX speaking (打电话英语得先说你是睡）
