Internet can be very important in emergencies.
This is because internet can save time.
One can get the needed information through the internet right away.
Or you can also send a piece of news or Information through the internet to your friend or just spread it around immediately.

For example, when you are surfing the internet but suddenly feel ill and not able to move a step, or suddenly someone break into your room, you can ask for help by telling it to your friend who is on line or tell the people you are chatting with.
When some robbers are trying to rob the bank, occasionally a bank clerk is on the internet, then he can notify the police on the spot.
