In the contemporary world, with the development of society, in cities and towns new buildings will prepare to be built to replace the old buildings which not to adapt to our society to continue developing. But when it comes to the new building, there is always a heated debate among different people. Some people believe that new buildings should be built in traditional styles. To my mind, I think this view ill-founded.


It is evident that new buildings in cities and towns should be built in modern styles. For one thing, modern building can beautify the cities. For instance, skyscraper has become an indispensable part of beautiful urban. Furthermore, in general, facilities in modern building are better than in traditional building. Obviously, modern building can afford many automation facilities to make people who want to live or work in it less time-consuming. More importantly, in terms of urban space, modern building always holds room less than traditional building. More exactly, modern building can accommodate more people or company than traditional building.


On the other hand, I admit that people also can benefit from the traditional building. This in due to the fact that many people who live a long time in urban have already get accustomed to traditional building. Clearly, people who live in traditional building may have more chances to get in touch with neighbors. Despite that, the development of urban will be restricted by traditional building. For example, with the population growth, our urban need more room to build more building.



In summary, I have to say that traditional building have some advantages in communicating with neighbors. However, I still think that modern building can promote urban developing. Therefore, in order to develop urban that new buildings in cities and towns should be built in modern styles.
