This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope its the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:
  No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
  Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Everyone has a good friend.So do I.I also have a friend.She is a beautiful girl,and she likes to play piano.She has a long hair ,big eyes,and a small mouth.We always go to school together,and go home together,too.Weare good friends.I hope we can be good friends forever!

How to Study English Well? 怎样学好英语？
  We all know that English is very useful. Many people in the world speak English. So more and more people in China study it.
  How to study English well? I think we must have a good way to study English. If you want to learn English well, listening, speaking, reading and writing are important. You should listen to tapes every day. You should often speak English with your teachers and friends. You should read English every morning. And, you had better keep a diary every day. In this way, you can study English well.

As is well known, books teach us to learn life, truth, science and many other useful things. They increase our knowledge, broaden our minds and strengthen our character. In other words, they are our good teachers and wise friends. This is the reason why our parents always encourage us to read more books.
Reading is a good thing, but we must pay great attention to the choice of books. It is true that we can derive benefits from good books. However, bad books will do us more harm than good.
如众所周知，书籍教我们学习人生，真理，科学以及其它许多有用的东西。它们增加我们的知识，扩大我们的心胸并加强我们的品格。换句话说，它们是我们的良师益友。这是为什么我们的父母终是鼓励我们要多读书的理由。

Bob was having trouble getting to sleep at night. He went to see his doctor, who prescribed some extra-strong sleeping pills.  Sunday night Bob took the pills, slept well and was awake before he heard the alarm. He took his time getting to the office, strolled in and said to his boss: "I didn't have a bit of trouble getting up this morning."  "That's fine," roared the boss, "but where were you Monday and Tuesday?"   

Some years ago, my dad, an attorney, took me to a fancy restaurant in Now York City. When the bill arrived, there was a $1.50 charge for bread and butter. Dad paid the bill, including the charge for bread and butter. However, the next day, he sent a letter to the resturant stating that the charge was uncalled for. Enclosed in the same envelope was a bill for $500 in legal services.  Someone from the restaurant called immediately and asked, "What is this $500 bill for? We never ordered any legal services."  Dad replied, "I never ordered any bread and butter."  The $1.50 was returned without delay

"I can always tell a graduate class from an undergraduate class," observed the instructor in one of my graduate engineering courses at California State University in Los Angeles. "When I say, 'Good afternoon,' the undergraduates respond, 'Good afternoon." But the graduate students just write it down.

One very hot day, a hungry fox went into a vineyard looking for food.The grapes were heavy and ripe ,hanging inbeautiful purple clusters on the vine . "Oh!"he said ,"I must taste those grapes."So he made a jump, but he could not reach them."I must try again,"he said ,and this time he jumpedhiher than the first time. but the grapes were still out of his reach.   At last ,quite tired out ,he said :"who wants grapes like those ,anyway.Anyone can see they are assour as green lemons ."he tried to comfort himself by saying so .
