做状语的there:
例：They will have a picnic there. they是主语 have是谓语 picnic是宾语，there做状语修饰have这个谓语，用来说明发生的地点，称作地点状语。
做引导词的there:
例：They will have a picnic there where a lot of flowers and fruits are planted.
后面where引导的地点状语从句用来解释前面的引导词（先行词）there,是一个地点状语从句.同样where在后面句子中充当的也是状语，陈述句的顺序应该是a lot of flowers and fruits are planted there.
