An MICC staff member share some stats with us and here are the highlights:
The trend is progressively on the rise with 359 new files received in July 2011 compared to 246 last month (and 893 for July 2010).
Year to date MICC has received 1,329 files under the new program ($800k) and 1,818 in total when including 476 OLD files opened in January but received last year.
Therefore it is positive that even with the recent Federal program moratorium,the QIIP is not yet inundated with a Tsunami of new files which it is not wished for.
MICC has repeated its intention to keep the door open but it is monitoring closely the flow of files to avoid rapid intakes which would take the entire system out of balance.
