The Story of “Fighting for Apples”
The story of “Kongrong Shared the Bigger Pears” is well known by everyone. When it was told to the other side of the Pacific Ocean, due to American believe in facts, they have different arguments of this story, based on their experimental demonstration.
There was an American psychologist, who sent out letters to 50 successful men and 50 criminals in America, asking about stories of their mums. There were two letters impressed him most, which are both related to our “Kongrong Shared the Bigger Pears”.
Letter A was written as following: one day, my mum took out several apples and let us to pick one. I was about to say that I want the biggest and reddest one, but my younger brother said it first. Mum stared at my brother and said: “good kids should leave better things to others. Don’t be selfish, babe.” Hearing this, I thought it over and said: “Mummy, I want the smallest apple, leave the biggest one to brother.” Mum was happy to hear that and gave the biggest one to me. From then on, I know I need to lie to get whatever I want.
In the second letter:I am John. When I was young, mum bought several various shapes of apples one day. Brothers and I all wanted the biggest one. Thus, mum said to us: “Kids, this apple in my hand is the biggest one. You all can have it, but there is only one biggest apple. What shall we do? How about we have a contest? Now I divided the front lawn into three parts. Each of you garden one part, the best and the fastest mini gardener will have the one. How is that?” In the end, I was the best, and got the biggest one as mum promised.

“Fishing Rod” Story Once Again
One day, an old man was fishing at the side of a river and a little boy was observing next to him. With his well versed skills, the old man caught a full basket of fish soon. He looked at the lovely boy and decided to give all the fish to him. But the boy shook his head.
The old man asked surprisingly, “why don’t you want it?”
The boy answered.” I want the fishing rod in your hands.”
“Why do you want my fishing rod?” the old man asked again.
The boy smiled and said, “It won’t take long to eat up all these fish, but if I had this fishing rod, I could fish by myself, thus I could have enough fish for my life.”
So far, you must think what a smart kid he is. He recognized that he should master the most critical resource---the fishing rod.
But please think it over; it is useless that the kid doesn’t know how to fish even he has the best fishing rod. Yes, whether you can catch fish is depending on the fishing skills rather than the fishing rod.
