The Great Wall is known as ” New Seven Wonders of the World” ,which is the most imposing one of the interesting historic places I have ever been to .
It was built in Spring and Autumn One interesting point isPeriod, has been 2000 years history, which emperors of different dynasties had expend and reinforce many times.
And now, the Badaling Great Wall where locates in the Yanqing of Beijing is the best-preserved up to now!
The Great Wall was built to resist the northern nomadic invasion. There you can see very solid walls which are made of granite on both sides, and the walls both sides have the crenel.
One interesting place is the beacon tower every 500 meters, I think it's the most important part of the Great Wall.
So, if a soldier found the enemy , they burned smoke during the day or ignited at night inside the beacon tower,
the soldier who in the distance could see it and did the same work one by one.
Finally, information could spread to command structure quickly.
I guess ,this is the most efficient way to transfer information during the war in the ancient Chinese.
Even though the Great Wall become history, I feel it still a great and marvelous building and show the powerful of ancient Chinese .
