There are many extremely poor people and children should be helped .we can't ignore their existence.
So,last week,we put aside our spare time to collect donations .The place we chose to go was the city centre,because we thought there would be many warm-heaarted people passing the place.Fortunately,the task went well as we expected.
We each carried a red box which to collect donations to wherever had many people.When we talked with the passers by about our intention,they immediately took out much money generously,which was out of our expectation.
In the end,we put the donations together and there were 5 thousand there!We were all out of joy.Finally,we took the money to the Red Cross.
We learnt a lot from this charity activity.We got to know the number of the people who should be helped was wery large.Though our efforts can far from afford to help them,I believed if everebody realized this and took action on it,the poor would never be poor.
