Personal Statement

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am applicant *******, male, born in *******, *******. Now I am a junior student of ******* program in *******, majoring in Global Trade and Business.

I have been a cheerful and active student with a wide range of interest since I went to school. When in primary school, I served as captain of the football team and section monitor in English, which well trained my organization and management ability. When in junior middle school, I was stuck on Saxophone and fortunately joined in the orchestra in our school, which was only for senior middle school students at that time. When in senior middle school, I was elected to the school sports team and football team owing to my excellent performance in sports. Once in a provincial sports meeting for middle school students, I won the first place in 100m and 1500m race, being awarded the honour of “Excellent Athlete”. Besides, I did well in academic studies, especially in English and Physics.

My uncle is doing import and export business. On communicating with him, I have developed deep interest in business, which is full of challenges. After I entered university, I chose the Global Trade and ******* program as my major. And at that time, I set my life goal----becoming a successful businessman. Starting my own business has always been my dream. When in university, I studied hard all my courses and always came out top in my class. However, I thought that was not enough, so I often went to library to read various books about business. As I knew more knowledge about business, I developed greater interest in business. Besides, I also did well in extracurricular activities. I love skateboard and have founded the Skateboard Association in our university, which well trained my organization and cooperation ability.

I am convinced that I have the ability complete my future studies. In the past three years, I always came out top in my class. In my spare time, I made many foreign friends and could talk with them fluently in English. When in university, I also attended foreign teachers’ courses, so it will be easy for me to adapt my future life in the UK.

It has been my long-cherished dream to study overseas in the UK, who enjoys world-famous education, advanced scientific technology, thick cultural atmosphere and authentic English. All of these attractions excite me. I sincerely hope that you could kindly accept my application, offering me an opportunity to realise my self value and long-cherished dream.
