fresh spring the herald of loves mighty king,
新春啊，你这君临万方的爱神的先驱，
in whose cote armour richly are displayed

all sorts of flowers the which on earth do spring
世间的繁花万朵，不胜枚举，
in goodly colours gloriously arrayed.

go to my love, where she is carelesse laid,

yet in her winters bowre:
她仍在她冬天的闺房里深睡不醒：
tell her the joyous time will not be staid
