美国和英国在商务晚餐上的礼仪区别不大l．应等全体客人英国人的午餐基本上都是凑合着吃，有食堂的在公司里吃。没有食堂的，主要是三明治、热狗、fish & chips、比萨, 不知为了减肥还是真不饿，很多女孩就是一瓶可乐加一包薯片。麦当劳、KFC, 汉堡王到处都有，生意也都不错，价格比中国可贵多了，一个套餐合成人民币得四、五十。英国报纸也是整天批垃圾食品，但吃的人还是很多。再就是中国外卖比较多（吃过一些，特难吃），基本山有人住的地方就有，一个蛋炒饭再加点肉，人民币五、六十元。如果想和中国一样吃个炒菜，那档次就高多了。可不是一般的消费，一顿饭下来两个人就得二十磅，（不一定吃得饱）。英国人不过年不过节不请客也很少去那种地方。去那些地方吃饭主要是为了享受气氛，不是为了吃，而且这类餐馆印度、意大利、法国人开得也不少面前都上了菜，女主人示意后才开始用餐；在女主人拿起她的勺子或叉子以前，客人不得食用任用。

Fast-food chains，American-style， are currently on the increase all over the world．Most of these places work on a similar principle． There is a long counter ， above which is displayed a list（often with pictures） of the items available， and behind which several people（often students working for the minimum wage）are serving． Individual queues form in front of each assistant ．You receive what you order more or less immediately and take it on a tray to a table， picking up thing like straws（吸管）， pepper， salt， ketchup（蕃茄酱），pickles（泡菜）and napkins（usually paper napkins） on the way．If you can’t see any knives and forks ， this means you are supposed to eat with your hands．If you can’t see any straws， that’s because they are hiding in the straw dispenser（分配器） that you have to fiddle（拨弄） with the bottom of it to get a straw（one at a time）to emerge．When you’ve finished， you yourself throw away everything except the tray．
